Exhibiting Gratitude

My capstone is an immersive installation centered on the question "how can we express gratitude in creative ways?". I will be building a cardboard projection dome that houses an animation of a kaleidoscope. Each layer of this animation will be derived from sound files of meaningful people in my life reading thank you cards that I have written, out loud. I will use various software and techniques to derive data to create visuals from these audio files, ultimately creating a peaceful and immersive space for reflection. I hope the audience will use the time in this space to think about who in their own lives they are grateful for.
